A Giant Step to a One-World Government?

In less than two weeks, Joe Biden plans to cede U.S. sovereignty over our health affairs to the United Nations' World Health Organization (WHO). If successful, WHO will be able to impose its rules — including shutdown orders, border closures and vaccine passports — at will.

In January, the Biden administration quietly submitted to WHO a series of amendments that would change its International Health Regulations (IHR).

Biden's proposed amendments would cede American sovereignty, as well as the sovereignty of all the other 193 member states, to WHO. This would place the health decisions of 99.94% of the world population under the control of an unelected, unaccountable foreign governing body.

These amendments have little to do with health and safety, and everything to do with control.

Under these amendments, WHO could declare a "shutdown," ordering everyone to stay in their houses. WHO could declare what businesses are "essential." Churches will not be on WHO's list.

WHO would have authority to close our borders and impose vaccine passports. In March 2022, WHO began pushing international vaccine passports. Immediately, two continents complied.

WHO could dictate whether a doctor may prescribe, or a pharmacy dispense, ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). WHO could fine individual violators, including the United States, for noncompliance.

George W. Bush adopted and agreed to live under WHO's regulations back in 2005. Donald Trump began the process to pull America out of WHO. Biden reversed Trump. Now Biden's proposed changes will cede sovereignty to WHO.

WHO member states will vote on Biden's proposed amendments this month. If just 40 other countries agree, the U.S. will be bound to comply.

WHO will meet May 22-28 to vote on Biden's amendments.

We must now call on Congress to demand it takes an immediate stand against Biden's attempts to put Americans under the thumb of WHO.

Congress must demand that Biden withdraw all WHO amendments!

This is extremely urgent. We must compel Congress to act now to save America from one-world governance.

If you thought the COVID shutdowns and mandates by our own federal and state governments were bad, imagine what WHO could do to us!

Tell the legislators to do everything in their power to stop Biden from ceding authority to WHO. We need "all hands on deck."

“BIBLICAL” SWARMS OF GIANT CANNIBALISTIC CRICKETS ‘PLAGUE’ NORTHWEST US

Swarms of crickets are appearing all over Oregon and Nevada. Described as “Biblical,” the swarms bear religious significance for the Mormons.

The swarm is attributed to a decades-long drought in the midwest and warming temperatures. A similar infestation in 2003 caused more than $25 million in damage to crops, and a similar swarm in 2017 left the roads “blood red” from crushed bugs. In 2021 alone, Oregon agricultural officials estimate that grasshoppers and Mormon crickets damaged ten million acres of rangeland in 18 counties.

Mormon crickets are cannibalistic and feast on the crushed bodies of their brethren. The infestations are “truly biblical,” Skye Krebs, a rancher in Oregon, told AP. “On the highways, once you get them killed, then the rest of them come.”

Authorities cope with the problem by subsidized aerial spraying of diflubenzuron. The treatment inhibits the development of the nymphs but is ineffective against adults. The Oregon Legislature last year allocated $5 million to assess the problem and set up a Mormon cricket and grasshopper “suppression” program. An additional $1.2 million for the program was approved earlier this month.

Mormon Crickets vary in color from light green to red-brown and can grow to almost.3 inches in length. It lives throughout western North America in rangelands dominated by sagebrush and forbs. Despite its name, the Mormon cricket is actually a shieldbacked katydid. Although flightless, Mormon crickets can travel up to a mile a day and up to 50 miles in a single season. During its lifetime, a Mormon cricket can consume 38 pounds of plants — targeting everything from sagebrush and weeds to alfalfa and vegetable crops. 

The Mormon cricket exists in populations of relatively low density but may undergo morphological changes triggered by high population densities, similar to those seen in locusts. The most noticeable change is in coloration: solitary individuals typically have green or purple coloration, while swarming individuals are often black, brown, or red. At certain times and places, however, population explosions or infestations occur in which large numbers of the crickets form roving bands. These bands may include millions of individuals and be found with densities of up to 100 individuals per square meter. These infestations may last years or even decades and are characterized by a gradual increase and then decrease in population. The factors that trigger these infestations are poorly understood but are thought to be weather-related.

The Mormon cricket takes its name from Mormon settlers in Utah, who encountered them while pushing westward, and for the prominent role they played in the 1848 “miracle of the gulls”. According to accounts recorded by the early Church of the Latter Day Saints, the first crop produced a meager harvest after arriving in Salt Lake Valley in 1847. A swarm of Mormon crickets endangered the second harvest but seagulls “miraculously” saved the crops following fervent prayers by the pioneer farmers by eating thousands of insects that were devouring their fields. It is said that these birds, native to the Great Salt Lake, ate mass quantities of crickets, drank some water, regurgitated, and continued eating more crickets over a two-week period. 

In another Biblically inspired episode, less than two years earlier, many of the Mormon pilgrims were saved by quail that flew into their camp on their trek to the Great Salt Lake and made available as food.

This wave very much resembles the Biblical plague in this respect, coming as part of a wave of catastrophes that left the land of Egypt bereft of any food.

Locusts invaded all the land of Egypt and settled within all the territory of Egypt in a thick mass; never before had there been so many, nor will there ever be so many again. They covered the face of the whole land so that the land was darkened, and they ate all the plants in the land and all the fruit of the trees that the hail had left. Not a green thing remained, neither tree nor plant of the field, through all the land of Egypt. Exodus 10:14-15 

According to Jewish tradition, the ten plagues will reappear before the Messiah. Rabbi Yosef Berger, the rabbi of King David’s Tomb on Mount Zion, explained this aspect of the Messianic process to Breaking Israel News, quoting the Prophet Micah.

I will show him wondrous deeds As in the days when You sallied forth from the land of Egypt. Micah 7:15

Jewish sources predict that all the plagues will reappear in the final Redemption but in even more powerful forms. It is written in Midrash Tanchuma, homiletic teachings collected around the fifth century, that “just as God struck the Egyptians with ten plagues, so too He will strike the enemies of the Jewish people at the time of the Redemption.”

Rabbi Bahya explained this concept Bahya ben Asher, a 13th-century Spanish commentator, wrote, “In Egypt, God used only part of His strength. When the final redemption comes, God will show much, much more of His power.”

Putin lambasts US as acting like 'God's messenger,' claims world order is changing

Putin accused the U.S. of attempting to 'cancel' nations that do not accept western values

Russian President Vladimir Putin blasted the U.S. in speech from St. Petersburg Friday, accusing Washington of believing it is "God’s messenger" and warning that the world order is changing. 

"After declaring victory in the Cold War, the United States proclaimed itself to be God’s messenger on Earth," Putin claimed. "They seem to ignore the fact that in the past decades, new powerful and increasingly assertive centers have been formed."

Putin’s speech, which was delayed for over an hour due to an alleged cyber-attack, focused almost solely on attacking the U.S. and its Western allies.

Russia has come under immense international condemnation following the illegal and deadly invasion of Ukraine four months ago – an incursion that has resulted in the greatest threat to European security since World War II.

But Putin, who has long relied on propaganda to drive the political temperature in Russia, suggested Moscow had been hit with severe sanctioning due to Western fears that the global order is changing. 

"Our colleagues are not just denying reality. More than that, they are trying to reverse the course of history," Putin claimed. "They consider themselves exceptional. If they are exceptional, that means everyone else is second rate."

The Kremlin head accused the U.S. of attempting to "cancel" states that do not accept western values.

Putin claimed Moscow is just the latest victim to be hit by "crazy" and "insane" sanctions and said Western efforts would not stop the world order from changing. 

"Nothing lasts forever," he said.  "While planning their economic blitzkrieg, they did not notice, simply ignored the real facts of how much our country had changed in the past few years."

The U.S., European and other western allies have not only slapped Russia with tough sanctions in an attempt to stymie its war efforts, but have moved to block the sale of Russia's largest income earners – oil and natural gas. 

The European Union, which imported a whopping 40 percent of its energy needs from Moscow prior to its invasion of Ukraine, has said it will cut 90 percent of its Russia oil imports by the end of the year. 

Additionally, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen vowed earlier this month to address the other 10 percent as well. 

But despite high inflation, its flagging ability to supply its armed forces in Ukraine and rising internal frustrations over economic pains at home, Putin on Friday claimed the West’s efforts were not working.

The Russian president said the efforts to stop his "special military operation" in Ukraine would not work.

He once again claimed his invasion was in response to alleged human rights abuses committed by Kyiv – an accusation the United Nations has repeatedly rejected – and said her was "forced" to invade Ukraine.

The Sanhedrin just released an official ruling on the upcoming vote by the World Health Organization on resolutions that will give them emergency powers over any country they choose. The World Health Assembly (WHA), the World Health Organization’s (WHO) governing legislative body, will be voting on Provisional agenda item 16.2 in Geneva on May 22. The agenda, described by the WHO under the headline “Strengthening WHO preparedness for and response to health emergencies,” the new agenda would give them the power to unilaterally declare a health emergency in any country, thereby giving them emergency powers. The Biden administration gave these proposed amendments to the WHO on January 18. No one knew this until April 12, less than a month ago. If passed, the resolutions will go into effect in November. 

These amendments will empower WHO’s Director-General to declare health emergencies or crises in any nation and do so unilaterally and against the opposition of the target nation. The Director-General will be able to declare these health crises based merely on his personal opinion or consideration that there is a potential or possible threat to other nations.

These regulations are a “binding instrument of international law.” UN member states can be required by law to obey or acquiesce to them. Under the new regulations, WHO will not be required to consult with the identified nation beforehand to “verify” the event before taking action. 

In a covert manner similar to what happened in the US, the Israeli government intends to support Provisional agenda item 16.2  as well.

Leaders from around the globe to meet in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting 2022.

The meeting is centered around the theme History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies.

Nearly 2,500 leaders from politics, business, civil society and media to participate in the unique spring 2022 Annual Meeting.

More than 50 heads of state and government are expected to join, among the 300 governmental representatives, to share their vision for the world. Over 1,250 leaders from the private sector will be participating.

Civil society will be represented by more than 200 leaders from NGOs, social entrepreneurs, academia, labour organizations, faith-based and religious groups, and over 400 media leaders and reporting press.

During a keynote speech on Wednesday, the opening day of the World Government Summit (WGS2022) in Dubai, the WEF’s executive chairman Klaus Schwab called for world leaders to unite to address global issues such as climate change, trade, and economic disruption. He emphasized that this one-world government must form as soon as possible.

THE GREAT RESET

“The impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution accelerates global change in a much more comprehensive and faster way than previous industrial revolutions,” Schwab said to the assembled world leaders: “Despite all the challenges, we have to uphold the responsibility we have towards the next generation through collaborations on a national and a global level. Our futures are intrinsically connected and that requires collaborative responses.”

“The world has to overcome the damage done to our economies and societies by COVID-19. It also has to confront the repercussions of a dangerous clash between major global powers,” Schwab went on to say during the session.

THE FOURTH KINGDOM

Rabbi Yosef Berger, the rabbi of King David’s Tomb on Mount Zion, noted that it was not by chance that Schwab adopted the concept of the Fourth Industrial Revolution for the time for unifying the world governments and corporations. The rabbi cited the Book of Daniel:

“Like so many before him, this person wants to rule for his own glory and from his own glory. He understands that Daniel was a great prophet, and this person, who I wish not to name, wants to pervert the words of Daniel for his purpose.”

“I have seen great leaders come to Jerusalem over the years. The leaders who seek God’s glory, who know that their mandate as a ruler comes from King David and the God of Israel, are successful and bring light into the world. Others reject Jerusalem, actually reject it, and they inevitably bring darkness into the world.”

“If this person wanted to help people, it is simple, and it is written in the Bible. He is rich while there are poor people in the world that are starving. He does not care about morality. He worships himself.”

“If he really wants to bring light into the world, I invite him to come to Jerusalem. I will introduce him to King David. I will introduce him to Jerusalem. Now, as Passover is about to begin, is the time.”

COVID AS AN “OPPORTUNITY”

COVID is a favorite subject of Schwab. He wrote a book titled  Covid-19: the Great Reset describing the pandemic as a rare opportunity.  

“At the time of writing (June 2020), the pandemic continues to worsen globally,” Schwab wrote in his book. “Many of us are pondering when things will return to normal. The short response is: never. Nothing will ever return to the ‘broken’ sense of normalcy that prevailed before the crisis because the coronavirus pandemic marks a fundamental inflection point in our global trajectory.”

In 2020, the WEF was headlined “The Great Reset.” At the heart of the agenda is Klaus’s concept of  ‘stakeholder capitalism,’ an idea that Schwab has been advocating for decades, which would result in allocating corporations more power over society. Elected governments would be just one stakeholder in a multi-stakeholder model of global governance. Corporations would be official stakeholders in global decision-making, while governments are relegated to being one of many stakeholders. And the stakeholders in the corporations would take a back seat as the corporate executives are given full autonomy. 

BIDEN AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER

Some may find it disturbing to note that in his book, Schwab coined the term “Build back better,” which was adopted by President Biden ahead of his inauguration as the name of his legislative framework. Like Schwab, Biden has a long history of openly advocating for new world order and noting that Biden has a long history of advocating for a New World Order. He recently went off script and called for a new world order at an address to the Business Roundtable’s CEO Quarterly Meeting. The Business Roundtable is a strong proponent of the Great Reset. Biden was immediately hustled off stage by his staff. 

Critics have claimed that Biden’s “Infrastructure Bill” is about advancing The Great Reset agenda by eliminating the private use of decentralized crypto to replace it with centralized, tracked, and traced “Central Bank Digital Currencies.”

SCHWAB: A PROBLEMATIC MYSTERY

In 1971 Schwab founded what would become the World Economic Forum WEF), where he currently serves as executive chairman, for which he receives a salary of about $1 million. He is frequently criticized in the media for this, while at the same time, he has declared that excessively high management salaries were “no longer socially acceptable.” Also, the WEF does not pay any federal taxes. The WEF is also criticized for its lack of transparency in its financial reporting. Schwab has also drawn ire for mixing the finances of the not-for-profit WEF and other for-profit business ventures, frequently for his financial benefit.

Schwab has stated that a globalized world is best managed by a self-selected coalition of multinational corporations, governments (including the UN system), and select civil society organizations (CSOs). He argues that governments are no longer “the overwhelmingly dominant actors on the world stage” and “the time has come for a new stakeholder paradigm of international governance.” 

He also advocated for genetic engineering. N his 2018 book, Shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Schwab writes:

We will become better able to manipulate our genes and those of our children. These developments raise profound questions: where do we draw the line between human and machine? What does it mean to be human?

Schwab’s personal life is enigmatic, and few details are known. His parents moved to Ravensburg, Germany, after the Nazi party took power. He was born there and is a citizen of Germany. The Gestapo monitored Schwab’s family, which in 1944 also interrogated his mother (who was from Zurich) for using a Swiss accent in public. After that, the family was sent back to Switzerland, where he lives until this day. However, he has three Swiss grandparents and two Swiss brothers, and he was denied citizenship when he applied. His exact net worth is not known. His religion is not available on the internet. Nonetheless, Pope Francis has been involved in several WEF events.

China is promoting coal-fired power as the ruling Communist Party tries to revive a sluggish economy, prompting warnings Beijing is setting back efforts to cut climate-changing carbon emissions from the biggest global source.

Official plans call for boosting coal production capacity by 300 million tons this year, according to news reports. That is equal to 7% of last year’s output of 4.1 billion tons, which was an increase of 5.7% over 2020.

China is one of the biggest investors in wind and solar, but jittery leaders called for more coal-fired power after economic growth plunged last year and shortages caused blackouts and factory shutdowns. Russia’s attack on Ukraine added to anxiety that foreign oil and coal supplies might be disrupted.

From Israel 365’s David Sidman. For first time: Israel’s Central Bank replaces U.S. dollar reserves with Chinese currency.

Bloomberg reported that Israel added four new currencies – among them the Chinese Yuan (RMB) – to its central bank holdings in an unprecedented move in the country’s history. Additionally, Israel’s Central Bank will cut US Dollar (USD) and EUR holdings to diversify its foreign reserves.

Israel’s foreign currency reserves, which surpassed $200 billion last year for the first time, were traditionally comprised of US dollars, Euros, and British Pounds. Israel will now consist of Canadian dollars (CAD) and Australian dollars (AUD) in their foreign currency holdings. It will also include the Japanese Yen and the Chinese Renminbi.

Deputy Governor Andrew Abir called the decision a change in Israel’s “whole investment guidelines and philosophy.” He explained that the increase in Jerusalem’s foreign exchange reserves compelled the CentralBank to mull “the need to earn a return on the reserves that will cover liability costs.”

The Central Bank, which held 67.4% of its foreign exchange in USD, 30.1% in Euros, and 2.5% in British Pounds in 2020, now intends on having the British Pound and Japanese Yen each comprise 5%. The Chinese Yuan will comprise 2% of its holdings, while Australian and Canadian currencies will account for 3.5% each.

A decrease in US dollars and EUR holdings will take place to enable the new reserves. USD holdings will go from 66.5% in 2021 to 61% – a roughly 8.3% reduction – while Israel’s Euro holdings will be reduced from 30.8% to 20% – a staggering 35% decline in investment.

China pushed for a more significant role in the foreign exchange space for their currency, the Chinese Yuan Renminbi – without much success. IMF data reveals that the RMB’s share of global currency reserves increased to an unprecedented 2.79% by 2021 – though attempts to expand RMB holdings were criticized by Bei Jing’s tight regulation, limits on an exchange, and accusations of currency manipulation.

Amid a bevy of sanctions against Russia to cripple their economy for attacking Ukraine, several countries have become cautious of the risks involved with a USD-based global economy in what is being coined “de-dollarization” – possibly paving a path for the Yuan to increase in international prominence.

Is this the start of Daniel 9:27?

The Jerusalem Post report by Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz, “Israeli NGO mints silver coin to fund third temple for the nations.” Non-Jewish third temple visitors would express their dedication to the Seven Noahide Laws.

Weiss emphasized that the minting of the coin was timed to coincide with the beginning of the Hebrew month of Adar when these coins were collected for the temple. 

It is currently the Hebrew month of Adar. 

“Donating the annual silver half-shekel is incumbent upon the Jews but this is not just a Jewish project,” Weiss explained to The Jerusalem Post.

“The concept of money in the world and all of the basis of commerce has been lost,” he said. “Commerce is how people interact. The 70 nations would come to the temple in Jerusalem on the pilgrim festivals and interact. They would express their dedication to the common values of the Seven Noahide Laws. This would help establish the basis for healthy commerce. If there are no shared values, if one country allows theft or lawlessness or the spilling of blood, there can be no commerce.” 

He said that “what we have now is virtual money, controlled entirely by rulers who do not fear God, virtual money whose worth is determined by the fantasies of men. The value of money must be based on gold or silver and this was expressed every year in the temple in Jerusalem when the value of the silver half-shekel was determined according to the Bible. This is the meaning of ‘mine is the gold, mine is the silver’” as referenced in Hagai 2:8. He also cited the Prophet Isaiah (56:7).

“For this reason, the first temples were, and the third temple must be, a house of prayer for all nations,” Weiss said. “The Temple was and will be, the only hope for true peace among the nations. History has shown that any effort to bring the nations together that is not centered in Jerusalem, the city of peace, ends in catastrophe.” 

“The silver half-shekel was required from the Jews but the temple was also maintained by the nations, from any person seeking to be part of the House of the God of Israel," he said.

“After the destruction of the temple, Adar took on added significance, as the month in which we celebrate Purim,” Weiss said. “Haman was from the nation of Amalek, so the month of Adar represents the victory over Israel’s perennial enemy, the victory of light over darkness. The temple in Jerusalem and a king of Israel are the most powerful elements in this battle and must be recreated before the War of Gog and Magog fully materializes.”

Towards the beginning of the month of Nisan, the month in which the fire of the Divine Presence descended on the Tabernacle, we all pray for the raising of King David's Crown once again!

One side of the coin features a crown and the Hebrew name David representing the Davidic dynasty that will be established at the end of days.

The term, “Sanhedrin Court” is also embossed on the face of the coin. The reverse side is embossed with an image of pilgrims ascending to the temple and the words “Temple Coin” in English, Hebrew and Persian. 

The year 5782 is embossed in the coin.

Each coin is numbered as part of a limited series and comes with a certificate of authenticity and can be purchased online.

For the third time this month, Russian President  Vladimir Putin is threatening to deploy tactical nuclear weapons. Should this threat be realized, it would conform to several aspects of the Gog and Magog war as described by the prophets.

Earlier this month, before invading Ukraine, Putin responded to threats by western countries to intervene should he decide to invade. 

“Of course the [military] potential of NATO and Russia are incomparable. We understand it,” Putin said at a press conference. “But we also understand that Russia is one of the leading nuclear states, and by some modern components, it even outperforms many.” 

Last week, Putin warned that “whoever tries to hinder us” in Ukraine would see consequences “you have never seen in your history”.

This threat took on ominous proportions on Sunday when he ordered the Russian defense minister and the chief of the military’s general staff to put the nuclear deterrent forces on a “special regime of combat duty”.

He told defense chiefs it was because of “aggressive statements” by the West, amid widespread condemnation of his invasion of Ukraine.

This was intensified on Sunday when the government of Belarus, a Russian ally, approved constitutional changes that would allow Russian forces and nuclear weapons to be stationed in the country. Belarus is expected to send troops into Ukraine at any moment. 

White House Spokesman Jen Psaki emphasized that the US does not consider Putin’s statements to constitute an immediate threat.

“This is really a pattern that we’ve seen from President Putin through the course of this conflict, which is manufacturing threats that don’t exist in order to justify further aggression — and the global community and the American people should look at it through that prism,” Psaki told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on “This Week.”

According to the Federation of American Scientists Russia has just under 4,500 nuclear warheads in its stockpile making it the largest military superpower in the world today.

The US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield responded to the veiled threat at a United Nations Security Council meeting on Sunday.

“It means that President Putin is continuing to escalate this war in a manner that is totally unacceptable and we have to continue to stem his actions in the strongest possible way,”

UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said Putin was engaged in a “battle of rhetoric” by trying to “remind the world” he had a deterrent.

“We don’t see or recognize in the sort of phrase or the status he described as anything that is a change to what they have currently as their nuclear posture,” Wallace said. “This is predominantly about Putin putting it on the table just to remind people, remind the world, that he has a deterrent.”

While world leaders wonder whether Putin would follow through with his threats, a hint of his rationale was given in a 2018 documentary, when he commented that “if someone decides to annihilate Russia, we have the legal right to respond. Yes, it will be a catastrophe for humanity and for the world. But I’m a citizen of Russia and its head of state. Why do we need a world without Russia in it?”

Putin’s ominous statements were met with a new wave of sanctions. Western nations and NATO allies also began financing weapons for Ukraine. Also, the European Union announced a total ban in its airspace for Russian-owned, Russian-registered, or Russian-controlled aircraft. Russian planes have also been banned from UK airspace. The EU also barred Russian state media outlets Sputnik and Russia Today from its territory.  Germany said its ban would last three months.

The restrictions on flights will require Russian airlines to take circuitous routes, resulting in longer flight times. Russia responded with similar bans on European flights. Putin has stated that the Western sanctions placed on Russia were unlawful.

It is assumed that Ukraine does not have nuclear weapons. Prior to 1991, Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union and had Soviet nuclear weapons in its territory. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Ukraine held about one-third of the Soviet nuclear arsenal totaling approximately 1,900 warheads, the third-largest in the world at the time, as well as significant means of its design and production. In 1994, at the behest of US President Bill Clinton, Ukraine agreed to hand over its nuclear stockpile to Russia for dismantlement and to join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). This was done with the expressed assurances from the US and Britain that the Soviet Union would not invade Ukraine. Ukraine lacked the resources to dismantle these nuclear assets.  When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, Ukraine still held a total of 176 nuclear warheads and several means of deployment. 

These agreements were clearly violated in 2014 when Russia invaded and subsequently annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine. Obama was quietly criticized for his response which was limited to sanctions, precisely the strategy President Biden has stated he intends to employ in the current crisis.

British Defense Secretary: We maintain Britain’s nuclear readiness at the highest level.

Russia’s Defense Minister has told President Putin that the nuclear triad is on ‘standby alert duty’ and has reinforced personnel.

Should the war escalate into nuclear weapons, this would conform to a Gog and Magog scenario. The War of Gog and Magog is described in prophecy as being an unusually short war. A tradition from the Vilna Gaon (a prominent 18th century Torah authority) teaches that the war of Gog and Magog will last 12 minutes. According to a 20th-century interpretation, “A third of the world will die, a third will suffer from plague and a third will survive.”

This 18th-century prophecy of a 12-minute war was surprising, as it came several hundred years before the advent of nuclear weapons. Conventional wars necessarily last much longer and such a quick war was inconceivable at the time. Such a short war, possibly a  nuclear exchange, may have been hinted at in the Bible.

At eventide behold terror; and before the morning they are not. Isaiah 17:14

The prophecy hints at a swift and all-encompassing catastrophe similar to nuclear war. Another prophecy hints at the gruesome aftereffects of nuclear war described by the Prophet Zechariah in reference to the pre-Messiah War of Gog and Magog:

As for those peoples that warred against Yerushalayim, Hashem will smite them with this plague: Their flesh shall rot away while they stand on their feet; their eyes shall rot away in their sockets; and their tongues shall rot away in their mouths. Zechariah 14:12

Steve Warren of CBN News “God is getting ready to do something amazing’: CBN founder Pat Robertson on Russia and its place in prophecy.”

CBN Founder Pat Robertson made a special appearance on The 700 Club Monday to talk about Russia's shocking invasion of Ukraine and how it all might fit into biblical End Times prophecy. 

He cited key passages from the prophet Ezekiel regarding nations coming together one day to rise up against Israel – specifically pointing to what Russia is doing in Ukraine as a precursor to that event:

"Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, 'This is what the Lord God says: Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. So I will turn you around and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them magnificently dressed, a great contingent with shield and buckler, all of them wielding swords; Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with buckler and helmet; Gomer with all its troops; Beth-Togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops– many peoples with you.'" -- Ezekiel 38:1-6

Referring to a map showing the location of Ukraine, Robertson pointed to a "choke point" between Bulgaria, Turkey, and Greece and why Russia might eventually be aiming to control that point. 

He continued reading from Ezekiel 38. 

"It will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel," declares the Lord God, "That my fury will mount up in my anger. In my zeal and in my blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will certainly be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, all the crawling things that crawl on the earth, and all mankind who are on the face of the earth will shake at my presence; and the mountains will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him on all my mountains," declares the Lord God. "Every man's sword will be against his brother. With plague and with blood I will enter into judgment with him; and I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone." – Ezekiel 38: 18-22

Robertson also showed a map explaining which biblical names correspond to the modern-day countries.

• Rosh = Russia
• Magog = Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, and Azerbaijan
• Persia = Iran
• Togarmah and Tubal = Turkey and Syria
• Put = Libya
• Cush = North Sudan and Egypt

• "North Sudan is so-called Cush," Robertson said. "All of those troops there are going to be coming against Israel in the latter days. And God says, 'I am going to take care of it.'"
• "But is Putin insane?" he asked. "Well, yes and no. Because he is being driven to move against Israel because God says 'I'm going to put hooks in your jaws and I'm going to bring you down on them.' Now you get the picture."
• Robertson said Putin and Turkish President Erdoğan's troops will one day work together to make up a tremendous army in the latter days. 
• "And I think you can say, 'Well, Putin is out of his mind,' and yes, maybe so. But at the same time, he's being compelled by God," CBN's founder said. "He went into Ukraine, but that wasn't his goal. His goal was to move against Israel ultimately. And he will link up with Turkey across the little (land) bridge, and they will come together. And then, you look down into North Sudan, you've got a Muslim country down there, and there they all are. Persia, of course, is Iran."
• "And there is the land that is set up in Ezekiel 38 and you see how Ukraine is key because you see the land bridge between Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey.  And all of that area is going to be mobilized against Israel in the latter days. And God says, 'I am going to deal with it,'" Robertson said. 
• "So you can look at your map. You can read your newspapers. You can listen to your news. But know of a fact that God is bringing to pass what he prophesied years ago through his servant Ezekiel," he explained. "And you read it in the 38th passage of Ezekiel, one through six, it's all there. And God is getting ready to do something amazing and that will be fulfilled."
• Robertson told The 700 Club viewers to "Read your Bible because it's coming to pass."

China has given “tacit approval” for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s latest invasion of Ukraine, in the judgment of U.S. officials, as part of a joint effort to undermine the institutions that American and allied leaders established to minimize conflict in the decades following World War II.

“Russia and the PRC also want a world order,” State Department spokesman Ned Price said Wednesday. “But this is an order that is and would be profoundly illiberal. ... It is an order that is, in many ways, destructive rather than additive.”

China and Russia have made a show of their alignment over the last several years, culminating in the release this month of a communique that outlined a wide range of plans for economic and diplomatic cooperation — including the Kremlin’s support for Beijing’s claim to sovereignty over the island democracy of Taiwan and Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping’s support for restrictions on NATO activities in Europe. Price declined to draw an explicit inference from that statement that China supports Russia in the brewing war, though his Defense Department counterpart didn’t shy from voicing an ominous conclusion.

“The Feb. 4 statement that Xi and Putin put out was — certainly, we took [it] as tacit approval for what Mr. Putin is doing,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

Chinese officials have sent mixed signals about the crisis in recent days. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi mentioned Ukraine by name last week when he affirmed that “the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of all countries should be respected and safeguarded” from assault.

“And that applies equally to Ukraine,” he told the Munich Security Conference. “If anyone questions China’s attitude on this matter, it is ill-intended sensationalization and a distortion of China’s position.”

The foreign minister also said Saturday that “Russia’s reasonable security concerns should be respected and taken seriously,” in an apparent reference to Putin’s demand that Ukraine be barred from joining NATO. Yet Putin on Tuesday announced that Russia seeks not merely Ukrainian neutrality but also the “demilitarization of the modern Ukraine to a certain degree."

President Joe Biden’s administration has hoped that the threat of economic sanctions would dissuade Putin from launching a major offensive, but U.S. and European allies began imposing those sanctions Tuesday as Putin claimed the right to partition the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine on behalf of so-called separatists who have masked the Russian presence over the last eight years. China responded by blaming the United States for the crisis.

“On the Ukraine issue, lately, the U.S. has been sending weapons to Ukraine, heightening tensions, creating panic, and even hyping up the possibility of warfare,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said. “A key question here is what role the U.S., the culprit of current tensions surrounding Ukraine, has played. If someone keeps pouring oil on the flame while accusing others of not doing their best to put out the fire, such kind of behavior is clearly irresponsible and immoral.”

Western officials hoped that China, notwithstanding Xi’s much-touted partnership with Putin, might feel an incentive to take a more cooperative line with respect to the Ukraine crisis. Chinese Communists have anchored their objections to de facto diplomatic ties between Taiwanese officials and other governments in their claim to sovereignty over the island, which has been a disputed matter between Taipei and the mainland Chinese regime since the CCP victory in the Chinese Civil War in 1949.

“We wonder, can it really be the Chinese policy now to support separatist movements over the sovereignty of nation-states?” said Kirby. “That's an interesting twist, isn't it?”

The Chinese Foreign Ministry’s statement seemed to spur the Biden administration to reflect aloud on the Russian invasion of Ukraine as not only a security catastrophe within Europe but the literal battleground within a widening watershed in global politics.

“We continue to see the forces of autocracy, the forces of authoritarianism, the forces of illiberalism continue to work together and attempt to combine forces,” Price told reporters. "But the other point: Even as they try to do that, we are confident.”

Biden’s team has tried to counter that dynamic with what the president has billed as an “alliance of democracies” spanning Europe and the Indo-Pacific.

“If you look at it quantitatively, we have 50%-plus of global GDP,” Price continued. “We have a large share of the world's population. China and Russia, in terms of their GDP, are, what, 20% of global GDP? We have innovation. We have entrepreneurship. We have a shared set of values that we really think are a core instrument of national power.”

Those metrics have a bearing on any long-term geopolitical competition, but Price held out some rhetorical hope that China might still try to curb Putin’s aggression against Ukraine.

“Sovereignty should be an element that the PRC understands quite well,” Price said. “So you'll have to ask the PRC how they marry that long-standing position with anything less than an effort to use the considerable influence and sway they have with the Russian Federation to urge Vladimir Putin to back down, to de-escalate. [As for] whether they are doing that, you'll have to ask them.”

President Biden, the former Senator from Delaware, addressed the Business Roundtable on Monday afternoon.

"We're at an inflection point, I believe, in the world economy, not just the world economy, the world, that occurs every three or four generations," the president said. "[A general told me that] 60 million people died between 1900 and 1946 and since then we've established a liberal world order, and it hasn't happened in a long while."

"A lot of people died, but nowhere near the chaos."

"Now is the time when things are shifting and there's going to be a new world order out there, and we've got to lead it. We've got to unite the rest of the free world in doing it."
